Sonny John Moore, better known by his stage name
Skrillex, is an American electronic musician and singer-songwriter. He was born
in California on January 15, 1988 and was raised by foster parents. After
moving to San Francisco when he was only two years, received his first guitar
which he began writing songs during her childhood. He had to
take classes at home at age 14 because he suffered bullying at school. In 2004
his life changed dramatically when he knew he was adopted, this meant that at
age 16 left the high school and traveled to Georgia to audition for From First
to Last.

Moore was hired at 16 years old to be lead singer in
the band From First to Last. He recorded two albums with the band (Dear Diary, My Teen Angst Has a Body Count, 2004, and Heroine, 2006).
In 2007, due to band conflicts, he decided to leave the group and headed to a
solo career in electronic music. He began his first tour as a solo artist in
late 2007. After recruiting a new band lineup, Moore joined the Alternative
Press Tour to support bands such as All Time Low and The Rocket Summer. He
appeared under the pseudonym “Twipz” before he changed his name to
Skrillex.  Moore kicked off the
"Project Blue Book Tour" in 2011.
He unveiled several new songs on this tour including "First of the
Year", "Reptile", and "Cinema". "Reptile"
was featured in the TV commercial for Mortal Kombat 9.  In 2012, Skrillex won three Grammy Awards:
Best Remix for Cinema, Best Dance Recording for "Scary Monsters”, and Best
Album. Skrillex has been named MTV’s Electronic Dance Music Artist of the
